Prior to starting the generator, make sure the A/C is off in the camper. Start the generator per the procedures/instructions on the generator and when the light turns green, you can use it for the camper. Turn off anything running on the generator prior to shutting the generator off.
Most people use the generator to run the A/C for a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the evening and they normally do fine with gas without running out. You will not be able to run your generator all day long with the amount of gas we provide. You would need to refill your own gas, if you plan on using it more than that.
Non-ethanol is preferred, plus is acceptable. But we do provide a full tank (2.5 gallons) in the generator and a full 2.5 gallon spare can. DO NOT STORE GAS CAN ANYWHERE NEAR THE GENERATOR.
Push the knob you want to use in, turn it to the right to start/lite and then either turn the ignitor knob to the left of that or use a lighter and light the gas. That will cover the stove and the oven inside or in our outdoor kitchens.
All of our campers have solar panels mounted on the roof, which will keep the battery charged during the day, providing you don’t drain it below 50% at night (by using it excessively). Most solar panels have a USB connection for charging electronics directly from the panel, which is located in the front storage locker. The solar panel puts out about the same as your phone charger, providing there is a lot of sun.
Use the water sparingly. If you are taking a shower, be sure to use the water only when you need it. For example, when washing your body, have the water off when lathering the soap and only use to rinse. Same with doing the dishes, use the water when you need it, but when lathering and scrubbing, turn the water off. With limited water storage, the above suggestions will help conserve the water. Please do not leave the water running unnecessarily and use the bathhouses as much as possible.
You should use the bathroom sparingly. You can certainly use the toilet and shower, but if you are staying a week, you won’t be able to use the toilet and shower every time you need to without needing to empty the waste tank and running out of water. We would suggest you using the bath house as much as possible, really only using the bathroom during the night.
Most people store their items underneath the camper with it being such a large area.
This is your carbon monoxide detector telling you that it has just shut the refrigerator off because it runs off of gas and the battery is no longer strong enough to run the carbon monoxide detector. The solution would be to wait until the solar panels recharge the battery in the morning and/or run the generator, if it’s within allowable hours, or have the main camper battery changed. Contact us for the best solution for your needs. To avoid this, make sure the battery is charged before you go to bed and nothing is running.
First, turn on the burner on the stove to make sure it’s getting gas. If not, go to the front of the camper outside and switch the control arrow to the other gas tank and open the valve. Turn the refrigerator off for 5 minutes and then turn back on after the valve is opened. That should resolve the issue and you will see a steady light or no light.
It means that your gray water tank is full and you can no longer use the fresh water. You will still be able to use the toilet. Please contact us for further direction.
After using the toilet, push the pedal all the way down for a full flush. Then, push the pedal half way down to put a ½ - 1 inch of water in the toilet to create a seal/barrier between the toilet and the waste tank to prevent any odors from coming up. Do not flush the toilet with the exhaust fan on, otherwise, it will pull up the odors from the waste tank. After you flush, running the exhaust is fine.
Screens can easily be pushed out of the door, if not using the door handle properly, so please be mindful when entering and exiting. When using the A/C, be sure to close all of the windows, including the ceiling vents.
If you have electric, you can use the TV to pull in your local channels. If you are at a site with cable hook up, you can attach a cable in order to pull cable channels that are offered at your campground. Without electricity, you are not able to use the TV, unless you have a generator. Use the TV remote provided, just as you would at home.
If needed, set the thermostat to heat mode and set your temperature. The heat will automatically come on, as it runs off of propane. If your camper is equipped with a fireplace, and you have electric, you can use the digitally controlled system.
